How to use these plans

• Each plan follows a proven comparison structure: shared theme, three analytical points comparing both poems, and a conclusion that weighs up the differences.
• Use them as starting points -- adapt the points to your own interpretation and add your own quotation analysis from the anthology.
• These pairings are practice, not OCR questions. Part (a) of the exam compares a poem from your cluster with an unseen poem, and only one poem used here, The Destruction of Sennacherib, is in OCR’s anthology. Treat the second poem in each plan as your unseen.
