Lesson 2
What students do
Groups sort quotations under headings: Caylin / Reema / Similar / Different; whole-class verbal feedback.
Task
Quote sort + verbal justification. Stems: "This quote shows…" / "Both girls…" / "Unlike Caylin, Reema…"
Success criteria
Can verbally compare the two girls using evidence.
Lesson 3
What students do
Teacher models one final comparison paragraph quickly, explicitly narrating planning. Students complete a guided plan for a similar question.
